This position requires a minimum of five years of experience in construction, with at least two years of experience as a QC Manager. The ideal candidate will be familiar with the requirements of USACE EM 385-1-1, and have experience in the areas of hazard identification, safety compliance, and sustainability.Responsibilities:Complete the course entitled "Construction Quality Management (CQM for Contractors" and maintain a current certificate. The QC Manager that does not have a current certification must obtain the CQM for Contractors course certification. This course is periodically offered by the Naval Facilities Engineering Command and the Army Corps of Engineers.Develop and implement quality control procedures and standardsConduct inspections and audits to ensure compliance with quality standardsApprove or reject materials and workmanshipMonitor the progress of projects and identify potential problems early onTrain and supervise quality control personnelCommunicate with the Project Manager, Superintendent, and other stakeholders on quality mattersQualifications:Minimum of five years of combined experience in the following positions: Project Superintendent, QC Manager, Project Manager, Project Engineer, or Construction Manager, with at least two years' experience as a QC ManagerFamiliarity with the requirements of USACE EM 385-1-1Experience in the areas of hazard identification, safety compliance, and sustainabilityStrong organizational and time management skillsExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to work independently and as part of a teamPrevious experience in construction management or other related fieldsFamiliarity with construction management softwareStrong leadership qualitiesDeadline and detail-orientedBachelor's degree in a related fieldTuckman-Barbee Construction Company Inc. is a well-established general contracting and construction management firm that has been in business for over 75 years.
