Duties and Responsibilities:Provide own tools required for job functionsAs directed by Carpenter, may cut pre-marked material or fixturesLoad, transport, unload and furnish Carpenter with materials, tools, equipment, and suppliesMay assist in lifting, positioning, and securing of materials and work pieces during installationMay perform minor maintenance or cleaning activities of journeyman’s tools and equipmentInventory material; restock supplies and materials as necessaryDemolitionMaintain housekeepingMay cover subfloor with building paper to keep out moistureMay erect scaffolding and ladders for assembling structures above groundPerform other routine duties as directed by experienced craft personQualifications High school diplomaTwo (2) years commercial construction experienceAbility to follow specific directions, and perform a variety of duties which may often changeWork within standards of accuracyRepeat tasks of short duration according to a set procedureEvaluate information using measurable standardsPhysically, workers must be able toStand or walk for long periodsUse arms and hands to reach for, handle, and manipulate objectsLift and carry materials weighing 50 to 100 pounds Climb up and down ladders, scaffolds, and other objects and carry tools and equipment; stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl, and see (naturally or with correction)
