Senior Equipment Finance UnderwriterVendor Financial Services - Commercial BankingAbout the RoleWe are seeking an experienced Senior Equipment Finance Underwriter to support our Vendor Financial Services business within the Commercial Bank. In this role, you will evaluate complex commercial credit requests, manage portfolio risk, and collaborate closely with internal and external partners to support sound credit decisions and business growth. This contingent assignment involves consulting on large-scale Finance initiatives, analyzing multi-faceted challenges, and contributing specialized expertise to complex situations that require deep functional knowledge and strategic problem-solving. What You'll DoLead or participate in underwriting moderately complex commercial loan and lease requests within the Equipment Finance portfolio. Conduct detailed financial analysis and evaluate creditworthiness across a range of industries. Perform ongoing reviews of assigned portfolio credits to monitor risk and maintain accurate credit data. Manage and update risk ratings and ensure compliance with internal systems and policies. Approve credit requests within delegated authority and prepare recommendations for transactions exceeding that authority. Partner with underwriters, relationship teams, and mid-level managers to achieve shared business goals. Engage with internal and external stakeholders to gather information needed for comprehensive credit decisions. Provide strategic consultation and analysis on Finance initiatives with broad organizational impact. Required Qualifications5+ years of Finance experience, demonstrated through work experience, consulting, training, military service, or education. 4+ years of Equipment Finance Underwriting experience, or equivalent background. Desired QualificationsBachelor's degree in Accounting, Business, Economics, Finance, or related field. Experience underwriting transactions/exposures over $1MMStrong financial analysis skills. Background underwriting across multiple industries such as: Construction Transportation Industrial & Manufacturing Office Technology Healthcare Technology Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
