Ideal candidate: · Background: Bachelors degree with at least 5 years of relevant work experience · Hard Skills: Detail oriented and agile learner; Vue.js; PHP; LAMP; MVC Frameworks · Soft Skills: Highly organized and self-directing with tasks; engaged and energized by our mission and team! Key Job Functions: · Work with lead developer to design, develop, test, integrate, deploy and support web applications and CMS in LAMP stack (Linux, Apache, MySQL and PHP) environments. · Develop web applications and CMS from business requirements. Interview Process: We offer a 3-round interview process · Round 1: Phone Screen with recruiter (15 min.) · Round 2: Remote interview with hiring manager and 2 other supervisors (1 hr.) · Round 3: Remote interview with CEO and COO (30 min.) POSITION OVERVIEW The Web Developer is responsible for the development and maintenance of web applications and content management system websites. The successful candidate will work closely with a design team and a project manager to deliver websites to clients. This position reports to the Director of Development. RESPONSIBILITIES ● Work with lead developer to design, develop, test, integrate, deploy and support web applications and CMS in LAMP stack (Linux, Apache, MySQL and PHP) environments. ● Develop web applications and CMS from business requirements. ● Work closely with design team to develop web applications and CMS. ● Create detailed technical system documentation. ● Work on multiple projects and prioritize tasks for each. ● Interact and collaborate with others to solve problems. ● Utilize established development tools, guidelines and conventions including, but not limited to, PHP, MySQL, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript ● Design, code, and test new web software applications ● Enhance existing systems by analyzing business objectives and identifying areas for modification and improvement ● Maintain existing software systems by identifying and correcting software defects ● Desire to investigate and develop skills in new technologies ● Create technical specifications and test plans ● Self-direction with a strong attention to detail. ● Work collaboratively, keeping the overall business goals top of mind. ● Be a creative thinker with an inquisitive nature! Think through each project, ask good questions, and explore/develop fresh ideas. ● Contribute to the overall culture of Tactile by being adventurous in your work, supportive of your peers, and enthusiastic about what we build. ● Additional responsibilities as defined. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS ● 5+ years of Web development experience, including Vue.js, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, or AJAX. React, Angular 2+, or similar experience helpful. ● 5+ years of LAMP stack experience. ● Experience with MVC Frameworks, such as Laravel, CodeIgniter, and CakePHP, or similar Symfony-based framework. ● Experience with Content Management Systems, such as ExpressionEngine, WordPress, Craft CMS and Drupal. ● Experience working in an Agile environment. ● Experience working with version control systems such as Git. ● Experience with ColdFusion, Postman, and APIs not required, but helpful ● BS in Computer Science or related Technology Degree (or equivalent experience). ● Willingness to travel to company headquarters in Philadelphia or client meetings in DC (1-2 times per year). ● Per Federal contract, U.S. Citizenship is required. ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident and the ability to obtain a high-level Public Trust Federal security clearance. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
