A successful new team member should possess strong customer service and communication skills, adaptability, attention to detail, and a problem-solving mindset. Additionally, maintaining a positive attitude and ethical responsibility are key attributes for success in this role. Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent. Previous retail or customer service experience preferred. Knowledge of liquor products and industry regulations is a plus, but not required. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to handle cash transactions accurately. Must be at least 21 years old. Ability to pass a pre-employment background check. Physical Requirements: Ability to lift and carry up to 30 pounds. Standing for extended periods. Bending, stooping, and reaching to stock shelves and assist customers. Position Overview: As a Retail Team Member, you will play a key role in ensuring our customers have a positive shopping experience by providing excellent customer service, assisting with product selection, and maintaining a clean and organized store environment. A typical day will consist of: Customer Service: Greet customers warmly and assist them with their inquiries and product selection. Provide product recommendations and information on promotions or discounts. Handle customer complaints or issues in a professional and courteous manner. Product Knowledge: Maintain in-depth knowledge of liquor products, including types, brands, and characteristics. Keep up-to-date with new arrivals, trends, and industry developments. Sales and Transactions: Ring up customer purchases accurately using the point-of-sale (POS) system. Handle cash and credit card transactions, following all cash-handling procedures. Verify customer identification to ensure legal age for alcohol purchases. Stocking and Merchandising: Restock shelves and displays to ensure products are readily available to customers. Monitor product inventory levels and inform management of low-stock items. Ensure merchandise is properly priced and labeled. Store Maintenance: Maintain a clean and organized store environment, including sweeping, mopping, and dusting. Perform regular checks for safety hazards and report any issues to management. Compliance and Regulations: Adhere to all state and local regulations regarding the sale of alcohol. Verify the age of customers purchasing alcohol in accordance with legal requirements.
