Construction Project Manager

We value clear communication, teamwork, accountability, quality craftsmanship, and lean construction principles. *The Position* We are looking for an experienced Construction Project Manager / Jobsite Superintendent to lead high-end residential projects from pre-construction through completion. The ideal candidate appreciates architecture and design, enjoys solving problems, and can effectively manage schedules, subcontractors, and project relationships. This is a hands-on position. Candidates should be comfortable working in the field, actively reviewing construction plans, checking dimensions and details, and helping resolve installation issues. Experience working in one or more construction trades is a strong bonus. *Responsibilities* · Manage custom residential projects from planning through closeout. · Develop and maintain project schedules and short-term work plans. · Understand and actively manage the project’s critical path. · Read and interpret architectural, structural, civil, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and landscape plans. · Actively review plans in the field to confirm dimensions, elevations, details, and coordination between trades. · Compare drawings from different design disciplines to identify conflicts or missing information before work begins. · Verify that field installations follow the plans, specifications, approved submittals, and design intent. · Coordinate with clients, architects, designers, engineers, subcontractors, and suppliers. · Review drawings and specifications for constructability, coordination, and code compliance. · Develop clear and complete scopes of work for each trade. · Coordinate and actively manage subcontractors through completion. · Maintain accurate project documentation and reporting. · Identify potential problems early and develop practical, buildable solutions. · Perform basic hands-on construction tasks, field measurements, layout, and quality-control checks when needed. · Understand the proper sequence of work and acceptable tolerances for different construction materials. · Maintain high standards for quality, safety, craftsmanship, and jobsite organization. · Help ensure projects are completed on schedule and within budget. *Qualifications* · At least five years of experience managing high-end residential or commercial construction projects in the San Francisco Bay Area. · Strong ability to read, understand, and coordinate detailed construction plans and specifications. · Strong field knowledge of construction methods, materials, sequencing, installation requirements, and tolerances. · Comfortable working with tools and performing hands-on tasks when necessary. · Experience working in carpentry, concrete, framing, finish work, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, or another construction trade is a strong plus. · Ability to identify conflicts between plans and actual jobsite conditions. · Experience working successfully with architects and interior designers. · Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills. · Ability to manage multiple priorities and solve problems in the field. · Experience with PDF editing and plan-markup software and Microsoft Office. · Strong understanding of project budgets and construction schedules. · Existing relationships with Bay Area architects, designers, and subcontractors are a plus. *Benefits* · Competitive salary based on experience · Ten paid holidays per year *How to Apply* Please submit your resume and a brief note describing your construction management, plan-reading, and hands-on field experience.
