· Read and interpret architectural, structural, civil, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and landscape plans.
· Actively review plans in the field to confirm dimensions, elevations, details, and coordination between trades.
· Compare drawings from different design disciplines to identify conflicts or missing information before work begins.
· Verify that field installations follow the plans, specifications, approved submittals, and design intent.
· Coordinate with clients, architects, designers, engineers, subcontractors, and suppliers.
· Review drawings and specifications for constructability, coordination, and code compliance.
· Develop clear and complete scopes of work for each trade.
· Coordinate and actively manage subcontractors through completion.
· Maintain accurate project documentation and reporting.
· Identify potential problems early and develop practical, buildable solutions.
· Perform basic hands-on construction tasks, field measurements, layout, and quality-control checks when needed.
· Understand the proper sequence of work and acceptable tolerances for different construction materials.
· Maintain high standards for quality, safety, craftsmanship, and jobsite organization.
· Help ensure projects are completed on schedule and within budget.
*Qualifications*
· At least five years of experience managing high-end residential or commercial construction projects in the San Francisco Bay Area.
· Strong ability to read, understand, and coordinate detailed construction plans and specifications.
· Strong field knowledge of construction methods, materials, sequencing, installation requirements, and tolerances.
· Comfortable working with tools and performing hands-on tasks when necessary.
· Experience working in carpentry, concrete, framing, finish work, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, or another construction trade is a strong plus.
· Ability to identify conflicts between plans and actual jobsite conditions.
· Experience working successfully with architects and interior designers.
· Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
· Ability to manage multiple priorities and solve problems in the field.
· Experience with PDF editing and plan-markup software and Microsoft Office.
· Strong understanding of project budgets and construction schedules.
· Existing relationships with Bay Area architects, designers, and subcontractors are a plus.
