Join Us!OverviewThe Medical Administrative Assistant for Emergency Services is responsible for providing all administrative and secretarial support for the Emergency Department Management Team, specifically, Medical Director and Assistant Medical Director of the Division of Emergency Medicine. This position reports to the Vice President Operations.This position is Part Time (20 hours/week) with a hybrid work schedule requiring working on-site at the hospital one (1) day per week alternating between two hospitals. The remainder of the work week is remote.Essential Duties And ResponsibilitiesSupports the medical staff and hospital committees related to Emergency Department/Division of Emergency Medicine operationsInteracts on a regular basis with Administrative staff, physicians, physician assistants, nurse practitioners and department heads Communication: Maintains communication between Emergency Department staff, hospital support departments, physicians and administrative staff to facilitate the operations, development and growth of emergency servicesRecord Keeping & Scheduling:Coordinates and monitors meting schedules for the Medical Director and Assistant Medical Director. Arranges time and location for all meetings related to the Emergency Department and Division of Emergency MedicineQuality Improvement: Maintains departmental and physician Quality Review records to include computer input and permanent recording/trending of all daily, monthly and annual Q.I. statisticsGeneral Assignments/Duties: Provides and prepares requested departmental documents, computerized records, and correspondence for review, retrieval and useRequirementsQUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE:High school graduate with additional post-secondary training to acquire secretarial skills to equivalent demonstrated by past work experienceMinimum of two years of experience in comparable positionAdvanced computer literacy, including Microsoft Office, with heavy emphasis on Excel and PowerPointKnowledge of Electronic Medical Records a plus Knowledge of medical terminologyAbility to record monthly and quarterly meeting minutesAbility to communicate professionally and effectivelyStrong organizational skills, with the ability to juggle multiple tasksAbility to deal effectively with confidential informationLocationHybridWorking LevelPart-TimeJob CategoryAdmin-Clerical, HealthcareLinkedInNoCareer BuilderYesID61300BR
