Upholstery Fabric Tech

Responsibilities Pull, cut, and prepare foam, fabric, and leather for jobs Assemble and prepare furniture frames, including handling components weighing 30–40 lbs Perform spring-up operations using springs, webbing, sheathing, and cardboard Operate pneumatic staple guns and sheathing-stretching machines Inspect materials and finished products for quality and accuracy Maintain inventory records and report shortages or discrepancies Keep work areas clean, organized, and safe Requirements Ability to safely lift and handle materials and frames up to 30–40 lbs Basic experience with upholstery and spring-up techniques Ability to operate pneumatic staple guns and follow safety procedures Ability to communicate in basic English with coworkers and supervisors Physical stamina to stand, bend, and perform repetitive tasks Preferred Qualifications Previous experience in upholstery, furniture manufacturing, or frame assembly Knowledge of multiple spring-up methods and tools Experience with sheathing-stretching machines and larger-gauge staple guns Attention to detail and commitment to quality craftsmanship
