Job Description Engineering TechnicianJob #2026-0911Intercomp is hiring a full-time Engineering Technician for Design & Continuation Engineering testing.Responsibilities:Build and test new design prototypesBuild test wire and cable harnesses to support testing, including some soldering.Perform testing on products or sub-assemblies and provide test reports (using Excel and Word).Troubleshoot defective units from production and make necessary repairs.Write assembly instructions for new product design releases.Work with in-house computer systems to assist in new product release details such as entry of bills of material.Work with in-house systems to process engineering change noticesQualifications:Two-year technical degree (AAS) preferred.0-5 years’ experience or more as an engineering technician.Basic knowledge with electronics.Basic mechanical aptitude and knowledge of tools.Experience with common lab test equipment such as multimeters preferred.Experience with CAD preferred.Experience with sensors preferred.Experience with Microsoft Excel and Word preferred.Experience with BOM’s/Routings in MS Business Central / ERP system preferredOptional: Experience with PCB schematics and/or debugging PCBs.Intercomp is the world’s largest manufacturer of portable scales for the aerospace and automotive industries.
