What We OfferNovant Health Cancer Institute Classical Hematology is seeking a Patient Services Coordinator III position.The Patient Services Coordinator is responsible for delivering exceptional front-end administrative and customer service support to ensure a positive and efficient patient experience. This role performs accurate patient registration, scheduling, insurance verification, and financial transactions while supporting clinic operations through cross-training in multiple administrative functions.The ideal candidate is interested in growing their knowledge of specialty clinic operations, including scheduling and coordination for patients with hematologic conditions and cancer. This role supports patients undergoing cellular therapy and apheresis treatments and partners closely with a collaborative clinical team. A compassionate, team-oriented approach and passion for supporting patients through complex care journeys are essential.Located In Center CityCheck In & OutVerify insuranceSchedule appointmentsWhat You'll DoPatient Registration & SchedulingAccurately record and maintain patient demographic, insurance, and financial information in the electronic medical record (EMR).Schedule, confirm, and manage patient appointments to optimize provider schedules and clinic workflow.Perform patient check-in and check-out processes, including updating records and verifying insurance coverage.Financial & Insurance SupportVerify insurance eligibility, authorizations, and referrals as required.Collect copays, deductibles, and outstanding balances according to organizational policyCustomer Service & CommunicationProvide exceptional customer service to patients, families, and visitors.Address patient inquiries and concerns professionally and escalate issues when appropriate.Collaborate with clinical and administrative team members to support coordinated patient care.Operational SupportCross-train in multiple administrative support functions to ensure clinic coverage and continuity of operations.Maintain compliance with HIPAA and organizational privacy and security standards.Participate in team meetings, training, and quality improvemenWhat We're Looking ForEducation: High School Diploma or GED, required.Experience: One year of clerical experience in medical office setting, required. Other related experience may be considered in lieu of medical office experience.Additional skills required: Knowledge of medical office software for the following: updating patient demographic information, posting charges, copays, and scheduling patient appointments. Requires excellent verbal communication skills. Must be able to work with changing priorities. Requires excellent organizational, problem solving and critical thinking skills. Must be able to interact with individuals of all cultures and levels of authority. Requires the ability to maintain confidentiality. Must be able to function as part of a team. Must possess initiative. Basic medical terminology required, knowledge can be obtained through formal classes or work experience. High level of working knowledge of EPIC systems. Detailed knowledge of multiple payors billing requirements.
