FLSA STATUS: Hourly/Non-ExemptDEPARTMENT: Cable Manufacturing - AssemblyReports To: Warehouse ManagerDIRECT REPORTS: NonePosition SummaryThe Cable Fabricator Lead position entails manufacturing coaxial cable in various lengths using mechanical draw down stations and associated test equipment. This will also include the use of soldering irons, various hand tools including cutters, pliers, and rotary forming tools. The majority of the workday will be spent on your feet standing and walking.Minimum QualificationsEducation: High School or GEDExperience3+ years experience in cable manufacturing or equivalent manufacturing techniquesKnowledgeProficient in the use of hand tools for precise assemblySolid foundation in basic mathematical principlesFluent in reading, writing, and speaking EnglishSkillsStrong mechanical aptitude with advanced troubleshooting capabilitiesExceptional critical thinking and problem-solving skillsSkilled in utilizing dial calipers, micrometers, and rulers for accurate measurementsBasic proficiency with computer systems and software applicationsReading and interpreting both imperial and metric measurements with easeWell-versed in industry-standard techniques, approaches, guidelines, and proceduresJob ResponsibilitiesManufacturing coax cable IAW Factory Orders in adherence to quality standardsEnsure all performance parameters are met by accurately utilizing TDR (Time Domain Reflectometer), Pull Testers, and MicrometersMaintain a clean, organized, and efficient work environment to promote safety and productivityPerform regular maintenance and troubleshooting of manufacturing equipment to ensure optimal performanceComplete all necessary Factory Order documentation accurately and on timeUtilize ERP software to issue material, track production timelines, and monitor inventoryPack completed orders with precision, ensuring all items are securely packaged and ready for shipmentReport any technical or quality issues immediately to the Engineering Manager for swift resolutionConsistently meet or exceed daily production targets, maintaining high output and efficiencyCollaborate with team members across departments to resolve challenges and provide hands-on support in the cable manufacturing process as required.Physical RequirementsOther responsibilities, initiatives and ad-hoc projects as required.The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
