The Director of Human Resources is responsible for managing and overseeing the organization's human resources and workforce management functions. This role owns the execution, compliance, and continuous improvement of programs across the employee lifecycle, including recruiting, employee and labor relations, payroll oversight, benefits administration, leave management, performance management, and regulatory compliance.Roles & Responsibilities:Primary duties include, but are not limited to:• Manages and oversees core HR and workforce management functions including recruiting, onboarding, employee and labor relations, health and wellness, compensation, benefits, training, diversity, employee engagement, payroll oversight and employee records• Supervises and supports HR staff• Oversees payroll processing and administration, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with federal, state, and local wage and hour regulations• Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local labor laws and regulatory requirements• Develops, implements, and communicates HR policies, procedures, and programs• Advises managers and supervisors on employee relations issues, performance management, corrective action and policy interpretation• Maintains and oversees HRIS systems and personnel records• Manages relationships with external vendors providing HR-related services• Prepares and supports audits, reporting, and special HR projects• Collaborates with leadership on workforce initiatives, organizational changes, and continuous improvement effortsPosition Requirements:• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field required• SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP certification strongly preferred• 7+ years of progressive human resources experience• Prior supervisory or managerial experience required• Experience overseeing payroll and HRIS systems preferredKnowledge, Skills, and Abilities:• Strong working knowledge of human resources principles and employment laws• Experience managing payroll processes and wage and hour compliance• Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills• Strong judgment and discretion when handling confidential and sensitive matters• Effective verbal and written communication skills• Proficiency with HRIS systems and Microsoft Office
