Job DescriptionThe National Account Manager will report to the Head of National Accounts and is an integral member of the Commercial Operations Team. Key responsibilities include developing and implementing customer strategies to drive market share growth with existing and new customers. Establishes and maintains relationships with key retail accounts to increase Biocon Pharma product sales.  Essential Areas of ResponsibilityAchieve and exceed sales goals with assigned customers and across product linesExecutes generic and trade strategies to achieve sales, profit and distribution targets and objectives within assigned customersBuilds and leads relationships with key wholesaler and retailers to deliver best in class customer service and delivery of Biocon strategic goalsDevelop new business opportunities in the form of increasing business with existing customers and establishing new sales outlets, ex. Wholesalers, Distributors, RetailersPerform customer/product pricing analyses with the goal of ensuring maximum profitability while maintaining targeted shareEnsure all customer RFPs & ROFRs are communicated in a timely fashion as required.Craft new product and price change offers for existing and new customersDevelop and maintain a database of all historic bids including wins & lossesHighlight any substantive customer interactions and market updates during weekly Commercial Operations meetingConducts regular business reviews with customers to track key account sales progressParticipates in trade shows to promote sales of the company’s products and servicesPerform ad-hoc projects to support the business as requestedActs and models with integrity, compliance, internal policies, Code of Ethics and Business ConductPosition RequirementsBachelor’s degree in business administration, marketing, or a related field or equivalent combination of education and prior professional experienceMinimum of 5+ yrs. experience in National Account sales or contracting with prior generic sales experience a plusBroad understanding of marketing and finance; thorough understanding of the generics industry: customers, competition, regulatory requirementsUnderstanding of customer contracts & supply chain planningProficient in Excel, PowerPoint and MS OfficeSelf-starter and strategic thinker with demonstrated ability to implement strategies based on competitive dynamics, economic goals and customer needsAbility to identify strategies with greatest business impact, formulate an appropriate business plan and execute the planHighly self-motivated, diligent, with excellent follow up skillsEntrepreneurial and capable of independent decision-making with minimum direction
