Maintenance Tech - Weekend

Job Description We are currently seeking a skilled maintenance tech to join our team in Hegins. A successful candidate will bring a strong mechanical and electrical background, excellent communication skills, eagerness to move into a higher-level position, and experience in a manufacturing plant. POSITION - Maintenance Tech - Manufacturing Plant LOCATION - Hegins, PA HOURLY RATE - $24-27 per hour - Plus $1.50 per hour for SD - Based on experience SHIFT - Day Shift - Weekends - Friday - Sunday - 5am to 5pm JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: Performs all work in accordance with established safety procedures. Administers general preventative maintenance duties utilizing the maintenance system. Detects malfunctions in machinery, diagnoses problems and repairs machinery and equipment. Ability to work independently and safely with limited supervision. Dismantles defective machines and equipment and installs new or repaired parts. Maintains and troubleshoots frame welders, automated and manual lines (i.e. rollers, belts, motors, and chains), facility equipment such as lighting, air compressor, overhead doors, etc. Lubricate and clean parts and equipment to ensure proper operation. Regular and dependable attendance and punctuality, including Ability to work flexible hours and adapt to changing work requirements. Keep work area in a clean and orderly condition. Using MIG and TIG welding tools and techniques to repair and maintain equipment. May be required to perform other maintenance duties and functions or assist in other departments as needed depending on the needs of the business. #MITERheigns JOB QUALIFICATIONS: Technical or Trade school degree preferred, or a combination of a High School Diploma or G.E.D. plus 2 years of experience in a maintenance occupation in a manufacturing environment. Basic understanding of industrial electricity Working knowledge of energy sources for each piece of utility equipment in assigned area (electric, hydraulic, and pneumatic, etc.). PLC experience a plus Ability to maintain plant utilities (lighting, water systems, drain systems, etc.) Ability to work independently when directed Basic understanding of schematics and blueprints Basic understanding of various diagnostic equipment including but not limited to ohms meters, voltage meters, etc. Basic knowledge and understanding of power equipment including cut-off saws, demo-saws, drills, etc. Thoroughly understand and follow all OSHA and company regulations as they relate to the maintenance field (Lock Out Tag Out, Personal Protective Equipment, etc.) Basic understanding of critical Maintenance, Repair, and Operations, and Proteus procedures and requirements Strong written and verbal communication skills Strong mathematical and analytical skills What We Offer Our benefits package includes coverage of your health, wealth, and wellness for you and your eligible spouse/dependents.
