Build Real Sales Skills. Work With Business Owners. Get Paid for Performance.
PaintPro is looking for motivated college students who want more than a typical internship.
This is a hands-on sales and business development internship where you’ll receive structured training, work directly with entrepreneurs and painting company owners, practice real B2B sales, and have the opportunity to earn commission based on your performance.
You do not need previous sales experience.
We’re looking for people who are coachable, competitive, willing to learn, and comfortable pushing themselves outside their comfort zone.
About PaintPro
PaintPro is a growing membership built for painting contractors who want to estimate better, understand their numbers, and grow stronger, more professional businesses.
PaintPro members receive access to:
* Paint estimating software
* Weekly live business coaching
* Business templates and resources
* Recorded training
* Sales and growth education
* A community of painting contractors
Our goal is to help painting contractors become more profitable, organized, and confident running their businesses.
What You’ll Actually Do
This is not an internship where you spend the semester observing from the sidelines.
After receiving training, you’ll begin applying what you learn in real conversations with business owners.
You’ll have the opportunity to:
* Call prospective PaintPro customers
* Speak directly with painting company owners
* Learn how to identify business problems
* Ask effective discovery questions
* Explain PaintPro’s value
* Practice cold calling and prospecting
* Handle common objections
* Follow up with interested prospects
* Practice closing sales
* Manage leads and follow-ups in a CRM
* Review calls and conversations
* Track your sales activity and progress
* Receive feedback and coaching to improve
You’ll gain practical experience in many of the same skills used in professional sales, SaaS, business development, recruiting, entrepreneurship, consulting, and account management.
Training & Mentorship
We do not expect you to already know how to sell when you start.
PaintPro provides structured training designed to help you build confidence and improve over time.
Training may include:
* Sales scripts and call frameworks
* Cold-calling training
* Prospecting strategies
* Role-playing
* Objection-handling exercises
* Customer discovery training
* Sales psychology
* Closing strategies
* Follow-up strategies
* Call reviews
* Worksheets and practical exercises
* Product education
* CRM and pipeline training
* Weekly coaching
* One-on-one feedback
Interns will have regular opportunities to ask questions, receive feedback, review their performance, and improve their skills.
You’ll also have weekly access to PaintPro leadership, including the CEO of PaintPro and Benson, an experienced entrepreneur who built and successfully exited a multimillion-dollar painting company.
These sessions may cover sales, business development, communication, leadership, entrepreneurship, problem-solving, and what it takes to grow a successful company.
You’ll have the opportunity to learn directly from people actively building businesses rather than only studying sales from a textbook.
What You’ll Learn
Throughout the internship, you’ll develop practical experience in areas including:
* B2B sales
* Cold calling
* Prospecting
* Customer discovery
* Identifying business problems
* Positioning a product as a solution
* Sales psychology
* Professional communication
* Objection handling
* Follow-up
* Closing
* CRM and pipeline management
* SaaS sales
* Entrepreneurship
* Working directly with small-business owners
* Personal accountability
* Performance tracking
These are skills that can translate into future careers in sales, business development, marketing, entrepreneurship, recruiting, consulting, management, and other business-related fields.
Compensation
This is a commission-based internship with earning potential of approximately $4,000–$8,000 per month based on performance.
There is no cap on commissions, so high-performing interns may have the opportunity to earn more.
Actual earnings will vary based on individual performance, sales activity, and the number and type of PaintPro memberships personally closed.
Commissions are paid weekly.
There is no guaranteed level of sales or earnings.
The educational and training components of the internship are not dependent on an intern making sales.
Who We’re Looking For
Previous sales experience is not required.
This may be a strong fit for you if you are:
* Currently enrolled in a college or university
* Located in the United States
* Interested in sales, business, entrepreneurship, or marketing
* Coachable and willing to receive feedback
* Competitive

* Curious and willing to learn
* Self-motivated
* Comfortable hearing “no”
* Reliable

Why This Internship Is Different
A lot of internships give students exposure.
We want to give you experience.
You’ll have the opportunity to speak with real business owners, practice real sales conversations, receive direct coaching, develop measurable skills, and potentially generate real revenue for a growing company.
