Job Description Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.We are seeking passionate Special Education Coordinators for in-person roles supporting students at the high school, elementary, and middle school levels for the 2026-2027 academic year. This contract opportunity offers meaningful, hands-on engagement in a vibrant school setting near Montpelier, VT. You'll work closely with dedicated educators and play an integral role in the transition from virtual to onsite special education services.Bring your expertise to one of these impactful positions:High School: Partner with an experienced special educator in a dyad model to coordinate individualized education programs and support high school students' needs.Elementary: Manage the caseload and coordinate support services for elementary students, collaborating with colleagues and families to drive academic and behavioral success.Middle School: Oversee and deliver special education services for middle school students, fostering inclusion and empowering diverse learners.Desired Qualifications:Valid Special Education Teacher credentials as mandated by state requirements.Successful track record working as a Special Education Teacher or Coordinator.Demonstrated ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and communicate effectively.Strong organizational and documentation skills, with experience managing caseloads for diverse student populations.Must be available for in-person work on campus throughout the contract.Key Responsibilities:Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).Assess student progress, maintain compliance with state and federal guidelines, and document case management activities.Support transition planning, facilitate meetings, and ensure that instructional accommodations and modifications are delivered with fidelity.Serve as a liaison between teachers, families, and related service providers.Bring your commitment to exceptional student support into a collaborative school community ready for positive change.
