Senior Accountant

We are seeking a hard-working and reliable Senior Accountant to join our growing team.The Senior Accountant ensures financial integrity by overseeing all accounting, reporting, and financial management functions. This role provides strategic insight and operational discipline to support growth, profitability, and compliance. The Senior Accountant establishes and maintains financial policies, systems, and controls that promote accuracy, transparency, and accountability across the company. This is an independent contractor position.Key ResponsibilitiesFinancial Reporting: Prepare accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.General Ledger Management: Maintain and reconcile balance sheet accounts and oversee journal entry preparation.Compliance: Ensure all financial records comply with GAAP and internal policies.Audit Support: Lead the coordination of annual audits and provide necessary documentation to external auditors.Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline accounting procedures and implement automated solutions.Mentorship: Provide guidance and review the work of junior staff accountants.Required QualificationsEducation: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.Experience: 5+ years of professional accounting experience (Senior-level experience preferred).Certification: CPA or CMA designation is a strong plus.Technical Skills: Must be proficient with Sage Intacct and have advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUPs, Pivot Tables).Soft Skills: Strong analytical thinking, high attention to detail, and excellent communication skills.COMPENSATION: This is a 1099 position, pay rate will be commensurate with experience and qualifications.About UsLaunch Development Finance Advisors is a transaction-based real estate consulting firm specializing in the financing of public infrastructure.
