Electrician PV Solar and Energy System Storage

We are seeking a highly experienced Electrician with Solar PV and Battery Storage expertise to join our growing solar energy team. This role is ideal for a motivated professional who enjoys troubleshooting, hands-on electrical work, and ensuring solar and battery systems are installed and operating to the highest standards.As part of our dynamic team, you'll work closely with project managers, engineers, and installers to troubleshoot, install, and commission solar PV and battery storage systems, with a focus on safety, efficiency, and customer satisfaction.Key ResponsibilitiesDiagnose and troubleshoot residential solar PV systems, including:Enphase microinvertersSolarEdge invertersString inverter systemsSystem communication and monitoring issuesBasic electrical troubleshootingInstall, wire, and commission: Solar PV systemsBattery Backup and Energy Storage Systems (ESS) - Enphase, Franklin, Tesla, SolarEdge, Sunpower, etc.Balance of system electrical components in accordance with NEC and manufacturer specificationsPerform site surveys and assist with system design layoutsOperate drones for aerial site documentation (training provided if needed)Assist with material procurement and project planningSupport quality control and final system commissioningQualifications & RequirementsMinimum 2 years of professional electrical experienceAt least 2 years of hands-on solar PV installation experienceMinimum 2 years of battery storagesystem experienceAbility to read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, and plansSolid understanding of the National Electrical Code (NEC) as it relates to solar and energy storageStrong troubleshooting and problem-solving skillsExcellent communication and teamwork abilitiesPreferred SkillsBilingual - Spanish/EnglishOSHA CertificationForklift CertificationValid Driver's License with a clean driving record (5 years preferred)Reside within a 30-minute commute to Simi Valley, CAAbility to relocate to Simi Valley prior to starting (if applicable)BenefitsHealth benefits available after 90 days4-day workweekCompetitive pay: $30 - $35 per hour, based on experienceOpportunity to work with a close-knit, supportive teamJob Type: Full-timePay: $30.00 - $35.00 per hourExpected hours: 40 per weekSchedule:10 hour shiftMonday to FridayWeekends as neededExperience:Electrical troubleshooting: 2 years (Required)Electrical wiring: 2 years (Required)Photovoltaic systems: 2 years (Required)Energy storage systems: 2 years (Required)Language:Spanish (Preferred)English (Preferred)License/Certification:Driver's License (Required)Forklift Certification (Preferred)OSHA 30 (Preferred)Ability to Commute:Simi Valley, CA 93063 (Required)Ability to Relocate:Simi Valley, CA 93063: Relocate before starting work (Required)Work Location: In personCompany DescriptionAt Next Door Home Upgrades, our mission is simple: help homeowners save money while improving the way they power and live in their homes.
