Technician- EngineeringLocation: Verona, Virginia As a degree holder with 5 years experience in HVAC domain/Technician for laboratory testing and testing instruments and equipment. Refrigerant handling experience, Fork truck training, Universal card, R410a card. Technician installs, tests, calibrates and repairs electromechanical / electronic measuring. Perform laboratory testing activities in accordance with standard procedures, test requirements and the ISO 17025 standard. Perform scheduled instrument verification checks and periodic facility maintenance. Set up and operate complex laboratory equipment and instruments. Identify and report nonconformities and abnormal testing conditions. Ensure standards, policies, procedures, and maintenance of a clean work area. Maintain working knowledge of EHS safety policies to ensure work performed in safe. Maintain effective communication with laboratory and project teams. Obtain fork truck training/license, scissor lift training / refrigerant handling certifications. Perform test unit setup according to lab procedures and test request. Create records of testing and document them according to laboratory procedures. Improve laboratory activities on a continuous basis. Implement corrective and preventative actions. Analyze, troubleshoot, and repair test units and facilities. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 35 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision and depth perception. While performing this Job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear. The employee would climb, stoop, kneel, crouch / crawl. Compensation: $60,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
