What we look for in a tattoo apprentice Looking to fulfill their lives by creating something beautiful. Have tried different things and failed, and are not afraid to try again. Open to new ideas, constructive criticism and different ways of learning to tattoo. Want to work with a group of tattoo artists for inspiration. Think that respecting themselves means doing their best work. Looking for a second chance to find themselves through tattoo apprenticeship. Seeking a career, not just a job in a tattoo shop. Have more questions than answers. Skills Strong art foundation. Proficiency in Photoshop is preferred. Common sense and respect. Highlights / Responsibilities Learn various techniques of injecting ink into skin, including linework, blackwork, shading, and color packing. Understand differences between design on paper and on the human body. Work with clients end-to-end: design process, consultation, idea presentation, and tattooing on skin. Meet top tattoo artists at conventions and guest spots. Gain opportunities to become a professional tattoo artist. We welcome applicants who meet the above qualifications.
