Job SummaryWithin a patient centered culture, the Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) will assist providers and nursing staff deliver optimal patient care, and work with others to achieve efficient clinical and business operations. The LPN provides professional nursing care under supervision for assigned in assigned areas in medical/surgical units.ResponsibilitiesJob SkillsPossesses sufficient skills to perform the job in an efficient and effective manner. Can demonstrate skills and knowledge in day-to-day situations, including the use of equipment associated with job responsibilities. Performs patient care as well as administrative tasks. Provide nursing and related services to ensure resident safety and attain or maintain the highest practicable physical, mental, and psychological well-being of each resident.ProductivityMeets productivity standards that have been established for the position and/or department. Prioritizes multiple tasks. Completes assignments per protocol or as directed. Embrace new and innovative approaches that will improve efficiency.Understanding Roles and ResponsibilitiesTakes responsibility for clarifying job responsibilities, including the need to understand performance standards and other expectations. Communicates with supervisor regularly to ensure that there is no misunderstanding about how performance will be measured and how expectations relate to the job. Seeks clarification as needed or when responsibilities are not understood. Willingly accepts change. Will work in clinics across the physician enterprise as needed. Travel is required.Knowledge, Skills & AbilitiesExerting up to 100 lbs. of force occasionally and/or up to 50 lbs. of force frequently and/or in excess of 20 lbs. of force constantly.2 years of clinical experience in place of MA program. Demonstrated proficiency with administering a variety of routine patient care procedures (i.e. taking blood pressure, temperature, pulse)Computer literacy and familiarity with medical terminology preferred; knowledge normally acquired through previous training or experience.Effective interpersonal communication skillsEducation• Post High School Diploma or Certificate ProgramCredentialsLicensed Practical NurseCardiopulmonary ResuscitationWork Schedule: NightsStatus: Full Time Regular 1.0Location: Mansfield PlaceLocation of Job: WV:Philippi:Mansfield Place
