This role is responsible for supporting capital and O&M projects, conducting technical evaluations, and serving as a troubleshooting resource for plant operations and maintenance teams.The ideal candidate brings strong technical depth in power plant systems, project implementation experience, and the ability to work effectively in both office and field environments.Key ResponsibilitiesPlant Technical SupportProvide technical direction and troubleshooting support for plant electrical and mechanical systemsServe as a subject matter expert for operations and maintenance teamsConduct equipment inspections and evaluations to identify performance improvement opportunitiesRecommend system upgrades, modifications, and reliability enhancementsProject Management & ExecutionManage capital and O&M projects from planning through executionDevelop long-term equipment improvement plans and associated budgetsConduct analyses to develop design options and engineering recommendationsFollow prescribed procedures and plant engineering standardsEngineering & DesignApply engineering principles to plant structures, systems, and componentsDevelop and review technical documentation and project deliverablesCoordinate with internal teams and external vendors to ensure project successCross-Functional CollaborationCommunicate effectively across operations, maintenance, engineering, and leadership teamsBuild effective working relationships with plant staff and contractorsSupport multi-disciplinary project executionRequired QualificationsAccredited Bachelor's Degree in Electrical EngineeringMinimum 10 years of related engineering experience in power generation or heavy industrial environmentsStrong understanding of electrical and mechanical systems within power plantsExperience managing multiple projects simultaneouslyProven ability to provide technical direction and implement engineering solutionsStrong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skillsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsCore CompetenciesEquipment reliability and performance optimizationCapital project executionO&M project supportIndependent decision-making with appropriate management consultationRelationship-building across plant and vendor teamsWork EnvironmentCombination of office and field workRequires walking, climbing, and bendingExposure to outdoor conditions (hot summers and cold winters)
