Flatbed Class B Driver

Job Description Etheredge Industrial Services is a complete service facility, providing repairs, rewinding and upgrading of AC and DC electric motors of all makes and sizes.We are looking for an experienced Flatbed CDL Driver with 5 to 7 years of professional driving experience to transport goods and materials safety and efficiently using flatbed trailers. All flatbed truck drivers must have a clean driving record and a current Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL). Drivers must be flexible regarding work hours and able to work weekends and holidays.Flatbed truck drivers must have the physical capabilities required to drive a truck for long periods of time and tie down their loads properly.Responsibilities· Must tie their loads down to their trucks. This must be done properly to ensure safe transportation.· Plan your driving routes using maps or GPS tracking to meet delivery deadlines, considering traffic and weather conditions.· Provide exceptional customer service by ensuring the safe and timely delivery of goods and materials, and handling any inquiries or issues professionally.· Drivers must keep a detailed log of travel time, mileage, fuel consumption, and sleep hours to document that they have complied with the regulations set in place by the Department of Transportation.· Report to a dispatcher any incidents encountered on the road.· Inspect their trailer before and after the trip, and record any defects they find.· Follow accident procedures if an accident occurs.· Report serious mechanical problems to the appropriate personnel.· Keep their truck, and associated equipment, clean and in good working order.· Take rest periods during trip.· Take special precautions while driving.Respond promptly to call in requests outside of traditional work schedule. This could include nighttime calls as well as calls occurring before or after your scheduled work hours.Qualifications· Must be 21+· High School diploma or equivalent· Class A CDL and a clean driving record· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills· Must possess a high degree of integrity and trust along with the ability to work independently· Minimum 2 years of flatbed hauling experienceCompany DescriptionEtheredge Industrial Services has been serving the industrial market since February 1986.
