divh2Agency RN/h2pProvide basic nursing care such as checking blood pressure, inserting catheters, and helping comfort patients by performing tasks such as changing and dressing/ppDocument accurate and ongoing assessment of patient status: Document patient care, including nursing intervention, patient response to care provided, patient needs, problems, capabilities, limitations, and progress toward goals/ppCommunicate with RNs and physicians regarding patients needs/ppCollaborate with other nurses and health team members to ensure patients wellbeing/ppTeach patient/significant other appropriate health information in a timely manner and share written informational material, as applicable./ppPerform direct patient care, using established procedures, policies, and standards/ppPrepare and administer medications according to policy and procedure./ppObserve and document patients responses to pertinent medications./ppDemonstrate ability to handle emergency situations in a prompt, precise, and professional manner./ppAdmit, transfer, and discharge residents as required./ppPerform administrative duties such as completing medical forms, reports, evaluations, charting, etc., as necessary./ppReceive phone orders from physicians and record on the Physicians Order Form./ppChart all reports of accidents/incidents involving residents. Follow established procedures./ppVerify the identity of each resident before administering the medication/treatment./ppEnsure adequate medications, supplies, and equipment are available. Report needs to DON./ppEnsure narcotic records are accurate for your shift./ppNotify DON of all drug and narcotic discrepancies./ppGive a thorough, concise report at change of shift.
