JOB SUMMARYPerforms advanced agricultural work. Work involves planning and coordinating field crop operationsand agricultural activities to meet production goals and schedules; and supervising the work ofothers. Works under minimal supervision with considerable latitude for the use of initiative andindependent judgment.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONSA. Plans and coordinates farm crops program operations; coordinates and organizes all edible andfield crops activities; establishes and coordinates time management schedules for edible andfield crops employees and inmates; and ensures efficient use of inmate labor and employeetime resources.B. Inspects farm crop operations, reviews reports, and approves requisitions for supplies andequipment; and advises management of production output, problems, and losses and preparesrelated reports.C. Assigns and supervises the work of others; and develops and implements training programs foremployees and inmates in edible and field crop operations.D. Maintains security of tools, machinery, and equipment; responds to emergency situations;searches for escaped inmates; transports assigned inmates; and performs various correctionaland custodial support functions.Performs a variety of marginal duties not listed, to be determined and assigned as needed.Please note that applications submitted via handwritten forms, email, mail, or fax will notbe accepted.
