Material Handler - 2nd or 3rd Shift

Job description:Material Handler – 2nd or 3rd ShiftStarting Pay at $22.78  All candidates must be available and willing to work either 2nd shift or 3rd shift, based on business needs.   The Material Handler plays an essential role in handling material flow throughout the factory, contributing to inventory accuracy, as well as managing waste streams. This position reports to the Production Supervisor. Responsibilities of the role (list is not all inclusive):Always put safety first when considering an improvement to current/new equipment or process changesReport unsafe conditions, correct if possibleShow active engagement in quality and safety programsAll job functions are to be performed in compliance with the plant’s safety and quality assurance programsCommunicate with Warehouse & Production teams, and conduct turnover for next shiftVerify materials at production staging & machines and collect required materials from the warehouse, transporting required materials from staging to production linesPerform tare weightsRemove rejected materials, full waste containers and empty pallets from production linesManage stream of reclaim tea and product rework, including stretch wrapping pallets of material and finished goodsCount, wrap & remove previous run materials, completing end of run counts & paperworkPerform accurate counts of materials in their storage and use locationsCoordinate changeovers with production personnel and sign off on Changeover ChecklistSupport waste management program operating the Balers and Compactors, loading recycles onto trailers, and maintaining a clean areaSweep floors in the staging and production line areasFill glue containers at staging & EOL (End of line)Retrieve Chep pallets & fill palletizer magazineHang super sacks & place empty sacks in the balerUse RF gun to issue tea, return tea, and locate tea storage area in SAPParticipate on assigned teams to facilitate improvements as neededOperate a Fork Lift and Verti Lift as necessaryPrepare assigned areas for sanitation audits and toursComplete all other assigned dutiesAbility to work effectively in a team environmentMust be able to bend, stoop, reach, and lift 50lbs.Must achieve qualification level and completion of all training modules associated with assigned equipmentOther duties as assigned
