Java Tech Lead / Solution Architect – Ruby on Rails – (MTV, CA)

We are looking for a Senior Solution Architect / Tech Lead with strong Java enterprise experience and hands-on exposure to Ruby on Rails, who can lead cross-platform integration and M&A-style system integration between Java and Rails applications.Job Title:Java Tech Lead / Solution Architect (Ruby on Rails)Location:Mountain View (MTV), CAClient:About the RoleLead end-to-end integration of a Ruby on Rails product with a Java-based enterprise application.Act as the technical bridge between Ruby on Rails and Java engineering teams, ensuring architectural alignment with business objectives.Drive cross-team technical discussions, design reviews, and architectural decision-making with engineering leadership.Define and evaluate optimal integration approaches focused on scalability, performance, security, and maintainability.Own the overall architecture roadmap and integration strategy.Identify and resolve cross-platform architectural gaps, dependencies, and inefficiencies.Provide hands-on technical guidance and mentorship throughout the integration lifecycle.Leverage AI tools to improve engineering productivity and accelerate technical decision-making.Qualifications10+ years of experience in software development and architecture.Strong hands-on experience with both Ruby on Rails and Java enterprise systems.Proven expertise in system integration, microservices architecture, RESTful APIs, and cloud platforms (AWS / GCP / Azure).Strong understanding of distributed systems and scalable architecture design.Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.Ability to translate complex business requirements into scalable technical solutions.Experience working in globally distributed, cross-functional engineering teams.Exposure to AI-assisted development tools is highly desirable.Nice to HaveExperience with large-scale M&A technology integrations.Background in enterprise SaaS platforms.Experience in fintech or tax/financial systems domain.
