Job Title: Design EngineerLocation: Concord, New Hampshire 03301Duration: 6 MonthsShift: 8 AM - 5 PMJOB DESCRIPTIONResponsibilities:Visibly and substantially support the client Safety Culture through proactive engagement and by making safety a part of every decision.Integrate safe design concepts in all products and projects.Develop and maintain knowledge and experience in recent CAD technologies and practices.Maintain technical drawing and bill of material libraryDesign panels and systems that are easy to maintain and safe to operate from ergonomic stand point.Assist in the design, specification, installation, and integration of chemical and gas manufacturing systems.Under the direction of the engineering design team, produce technical drawings and bills of material for detailed design packages for mechanical and electrical processes.Participate in Design Review, Process Hazard Analysis and EMOC meetings as needed.Support continuous improvement within the design group - e.g. development of standards, engineering tools, etc.Qualifications:Required critical behaviorsDemonstrated Team playerAbility to perform in and be sensitive to a multi-cultural environmentA clear recognition of internal/external customer needsA project and results driven individualAbility to make and take responsibility for decisions independently and in a timely mannerAbility to work as a team or individuallyA strong desire to delve into details and be hands-onA strong awareness to safety and the environmentRequired key skills (functional/technical)Design with an emphasis to industrial gas applicationsProblem solving skillsThe ability to manage multiple assignmentsGood communications skillsStrong hands-on skills, ability to trouble shoot applications equipmentKnowledge of design tools including Solidworks, ACAD, for mechanical and electrical designKnowledge of simulation tools using Solidworks SimulationAbility to do basic engineering calculations and use toolsA working knowledge of international codes/directivesStrong organisational skillsRequired qualifications/experienceBachelors or technical degree (Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering prefered)Strong communications skillsReport or techincal writing skillsMin. 2 years experience in project engineering or design preferably related to industrial gas applications or machinerySolidWorks experience (CSWP preferred)
