Apply via Dice today!Band 2 – Desktop Technician - Need locals in MassachusettsLocation: DartMouth, MAProvide day-to-day local/remote desktop support.Handle inbound calls, troubleshoot issues, and document resolutions in ticketing systems.Deliver break/fix support, fault diagnosis, and resolution for hardware/software/application issues.Support core operating systems and approved application suites.Ideal candidate: 2–3 years of Windows Desktop support experience.Key ResponsibilitiesFirst/second-level contact and problem resolution.Collaborate with third-party vendors for complex AV issues.Maintain timely communication and ticket updates.Install, upgrade, and troubleshoot Windows (XP–10), MS Office, Cisco Jabber, and other authorized apps.Basic Mac OS support for Apple users.Printer and hardware installation/troubleshooting.Preventive maintenance and remedial repairs for desktops, laptops, printers, and peripherals.Diagnose network connectivity and workstation issues.Broad IT exposure: networks, servers, AV, smart devices, telecoms.Work flexibly in project-based environments.Minimum Qualifications & SkillsBachelor’s in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent).Certifications: CompTIA A+, MCP (or higher).Minimum 18 months IT experience.Skills: Windows 7–10, Active Directory, GPOs, MS Office 365, hardware troubleshooting, enterprise AV solutions, helpdesk ticketing systems.Mobile device management (iOS/Android), encryption solutions, AD-based PC/laptop management.Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.Ability to multitask, prioritize, and meet SLAs.Excellent communication and customer service skills.Adaptability in fast-changing environments.Willingness to work off-hours/weekends for projects or emergencies.
