SummaryMatlack Leasing, LLC and Penn Intermodal Leasing, LLC are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized individual to support accounting functions, real estate activity, and business operations. This role includes accounting support, operational coordination, and administrative follow-through.This position requires a hands-on approach, a strong sense of urgency, and the ability to respond quickly to changing business needs. Travel requirements are extensive and often last minute. Experience utilizing AI and ChatGPT technologies is a plus.ResponsibilitiesAccounting ResponsibilitiesAssist with day-to-day accounting activities, including accounts payable and accounts receivablePrepare and post journal entriesMaintain accurate financial records and organized documentationSupport bank and account reconciliationsAssist with month-end and year-end close processesHelp ensure compliance with GAAP and company policiesReal Estate & Lease Activity SupportCoordinate and support property acquisitions, site visits, inspections, and related real estate activityTravel as needed to support active deals, property evaluations, and operational needsAssist with lease documentation, property records, vendor coordination, and transaction follow-throughSupport ongoing tracking of property-level financial and operational informationFinancial Reporting & SupportManage financial data, documentation, and task follow-through across multiple prioritiesAssist with reconciliations, journal entries, and routine accounting tasks, including AR/AP supportEnsure accuracy and completeness of financial recordsTake ownership of tasks from start to finish, including follow-up and issue resolutionOperational Support & CoordinationSupport special projects and operational initiatives across accounting, real estate, and business operations.Assist with problem-solving, process improvements, and organizational efficiency effortsProvide flexible support across the team based on operational priorities and business needsTrack assignments, follow-up items, and outstanding tasks to support timely completionAssist with documentation, reporting, coordination tasks, and administrative follow-through as neededAdapt to changing priorities and support evolving business initiativesQualificationsEducation & Experience:Degree in accounting or business field, or equivalent experience, isAbility to interpret and work with financial charts and reporting dataSkills, CompetenciesStrong follow-through, problem-solving, and time management skills.Ability to work independentlyInterpersonal skills within a tight team environmentYou must be excited to travel extensively in support of business operations, property activity, and active deals; travel is expected to exceed 50 percent often.
