A full-time Special Education Teacher is needed for a Middle School Life Skills classroom serving grades 6-8 in New London, CT. This contract position is available immediately and will continue through the end of the school year.Responsibilities include:Providing instruction and support in a self-contained Life Skills classroomDeveloping, writing, and monitoring Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for studentsImplementing specialized teaching strategies to meet the unique needs of each studentCollaborating with staff, families, and service providers to ensure student progressMaintaining accurate records and monitoring student performanceQualifications:Valid Special Education teaching certificationExperience working with middle school students in a Life Skills or similar special education settingStrong understanding of IEP development and complianceAbility to adapt instruction to meet diverse student needsEffective communication and teamwork skillsLocation: New London, ConnecticutThis role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the lives of students with special needs.
