Contract-based DC Federal Litigation / Employment Attorney (Of Counsel) Opportunity - 5+ Hours/Week

Job DescriptionWelcome to The Freelance Firm!We are a national network of experienced, high-level, freelance attorneys and paralegals who provide remote, on-demand support for both short-term and long-term legal projects for our client law firms.Due to increased demand, we are now interviewing for a qualified, experienced, and dedicated DC-licensed Attorney to provide of counsel / local counsel support for federal court matters.Remote work hours will vary, but are expected to be approximately 5+ hours per week.Attorney Responsibilities:Serve as of counsel / local counsel for matters in DC Federal CourtAssist with managing active litigation mattersConduct legal research and draft motions, pleadings, and legal memorandaSupport case strategy and developmentMake court appearances as neededCollaborate with lead counsel and legal teams on case progressionAttorney Requirements:Licensed and in good standing to practice law in Washington, DCExperience appearing in or supporting matters in Federal CourtStrong legal research and writing skillsExperience with general federal litigationPreferred Experience:Employment law, including whistleblower retaliation mattersGeneral civil litigation with a federal court backgroundAdministrative law experienceGovernment procurement / government contracts experienceOur Attorney pay rate starts at $90/hour.We welcome you to join our established network of legal professionals!Please respond with your resume and we will contact you in the next two days for a 30-minute online meeting to answer all of your questions about this opportunity and The Freelance Firm.Resume submissions will be kept in strict confidence.
