Warehouse/Auction Manager

The Warehouse Auction Manager directs all daily operations of the auction facility, acting as the bridge between inbound logistics, online/offline auction sales, and final customer dispatch. Key responsibilities include managing warehouse staff, optimizing storage layout for auction efficiency, conducting inventory counts, and ensuring accurate, damage-free, and timely fulfillment of auction items. Key Responsibilities Auction Operations Management: Oversee the receiving, cataloging, photographing, and staging of items for scheduled auctions. Inventory Control: Manage inventory levels, conduct audits, and reconcile stock with data storage systems to maximize ROI. Staff Leadership: Recruit, train, and supervise warehouse associates, forklift operators, and lot operations staff. Logistics & Distribution: Coordinate inbound freight, liaising with transportation companies, vendors, and consignors. Safety & Compliance: Enforce OSHA regulations and company policies, ensuring a safe working environment and managing hazardous materials if necessary. Facility Upkeep: Maintain the physical condition of the warehouse, including planning efficient storage layouts. Required Skills & Qualifications Experience: 3-5+ years in warehouse management, inventory control, or logistics. System Proficiency: Strong experience with Warehouse Management Systems and Microsoft Excel. Leadership: Proven ability to manage, coach, and motivate a diverse team in a fast-paced environment. Technical Skills: Knowledge of material handling equipment (forklifts, pallet jacks) and OSHA safety standards. Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze inventory data, improve workflows, and reduce costs. Preferred Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management or Business Administration. Previous experience in auction houses, liquidation, or 3PL (Third-Party Logistics) environments. Knowledge of auction-specific software and marketing, such as online bidding platforms.
