Job Title: Sr. BuyerJob DescriptionThe Buyer is responsible for sourcing, purchasing, and managing materials, products, and services that support day-to-day business operations. This role works closely with suppliers, internal stakeholders, and supply chain partners to ensure that cost, quality, and delivery objectives are consistently met. The Buyer leverages ERP systems and data analysis to optimize purchasing activities, maintain accurate records, and support broader supply chain and inventory strategies.ResponsibilitiesSource and procure materials, components, and services in alignment with demand forecasts and inventory plans.Issue and manage purchase orders, including tracking open orders and proactively resolving delivery delays or discrepancies.Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts with suppliers to optimize cost, quality, and service levels.Analyze market trends, supplier performance metrics, and spend data to identify cost-saving and process-improvement opportunities.Maintain accurate and up-to-date purchasing, pricing, and vendor records within ERP systems.Collaborate closely with planning, operations, finance, and quality teams to support production schedules and business objectives.Ensure all purchasing activities comply with company policies, procurement standards, and best practices.Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors to support reliable supply, issue resolution, and continuous improvement.Support inventory management and demand planning efforts through timely and accurate purchasing decisions.Use Excel and other analytical tools to create reports, track key metrics, and support data-driven decision-making.Essential Skills2–5+ years of experience in purchasing, procurement, or buying roles.Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent experience.Proven purchasing and procurement experience, including issuing and managing purchase orders.Hands-on experience working with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, D365, or similar platforms.Proficiency in Excel and data analysis for reporting and decision support.Strong negotiation skills with the ability to secure favorable pricing, terms, and service levels.Solid analytical and problem-solving abilities to evaluate suppliers, market trends, and spend data.Effective communication skills for collaborating with internal teams and managing vendor relationships.Ability to build rapport with vendors and internal stakeholders to support procurement objectives.Understanding of supply chain and procurement best practices.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience in manufacturing, distribution, or regulated environments.Familiarity with inventory management and demand planning concepts.Experience maintaining accurate purchasing and vendor records in ERP systems.Experience in supply chain, purchasing, or procurement within project-driven environments.Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced setting while managing multiple priorities.Work EnvironmentThis is an on-site role with a Monday through Friday schedule during standard business hours. The position operates in a professional office environment and collaborates frequently with operations, planning, finance, and quality teams. The role involves daily use of ERP systems, Excel, and other standard office technologies to manage purchasing activities and support supply chain operations.
