Travel RN - Med/Surg - Oncology - Chemo Certified

American Traveler is seeking a Chemo Certified Oncology RN for an outpatient infusion center position requiring an active DC RN license and at least one prior travel assignment.Job Details• Outpatient oncology infusion center setting,• Provides chemotherapy and biotherapy infusions to oncology patients,• Skills required include biotherapy, chemotherapy, IV therapy/infusions, medication administration, oncologic emergencies, IV push narcotic agents, isolation precautions, neutropenic precautions, and symptom management,• Preferred experience includes BMT and inpatient oncology,• Schedule is 4x10-hour day shifts, 7:00 AM - 5:30 PM,• Every other weekend coverage required,• Floating required within units of equivalent or lower acuity,Job Requirements• Active DC RN license required and must be in hand at time of consideration,• Current certifications required: BLS and Chemotherapy ONS/ONCC,• Minimum 2 years of oncology nursing experience required,• Outpatient oncology and infusion center experience required,• At least 1 prior travel assignment required,• Phlebotomy skills and previous charge nurse experience preferred,Additional Information• Role functions as a Clinical Nurse Coordinator in an outpatient oncology setting,• 2 professional supervisory references from within the past 2 years required for consideration,• Full 7-year work history with all gaps explained required for consideration,• Flu vaccine required,• Candidates located within 60 miles of the facility are subject to a local pay rate,• Any time off or scheduling requests must be submitted at the time of initial consideration
