Summary The Talent Acquisition Specialist is responsible for sourcing, screening, and recruiting qualified candidates for various roles within the construction industry. S/he collaborates with hiring managers to understand their staffing needs and create recruitment strategies to attract top talent. Additionally, the Talent Acquisition Specialist is responsible for conducting interviews, negotiating offers, ensuring a positive experience for both internal and external candidates throughout the hiring process. Roles and Responsibilities The Talent Acquisition Specialist will possess competency in the following areas in order to perform his/her role in a safe, productive, and effective manner. Supports and assists Regional and Corporate Management to identify staffing needsResolves gaps in personnel due to turnoverIdentifies staffing needs during new project Transition processRecommends reassignment of personnel prior to conclusion of projectsEvaluates Interns for full-time employment opportunitiesPartners with the Leadership Team to establish manpower needs, explore expanding markets, and develop path-forwardRecommends which recruiting events and outreach programs to participate in and evaluates the successBuilds relationships with military bases through career events and local outreach programsComplies with all federal, state and local compliance regulations related to recruitingPosts and advertises for open positionsReviews and screens resumes and applicationsConducts pre-screening interviews, provides feedback and coordinates follow-up interviews with appropriate managerDrafts offer of employment letters, when appropriate, based on interview discussionsWorks with staffing agencies, social media companies, advertising agencies, etc., when employment services are neededUnderstands competitors and engages with them strategicallyContinuously promotes the Baker brandOversees travel/relocation arrangements, and Visa paperwork if neededFollows up with new hires and their managers to ensure a positive employment experienceEstablishes trust with candidates by fostering strong relationships, effectively promoting the available positions, and communicating the company's core values.Maintains Black Book by networking with construction related associations and attending eventsUtilizes the LMS and promotes co-worker usageOversees management of Applicant TrackerMines resume repository in the Applicant Tracker when hiring needs ariseAppropriately documents applicant/candidate status throughout the recruiting processUtilizes The Marketing Collective for PowerPoint presentations and other associated recruitment materialsEnsures all record keeping is up to dateAttends HR Department staff meetings and participates in developing HR objectives and systemsChampions Incident and Injury Free (IIF) environmentSets example by following safety guidelinesComplies with proper safety procedures Requirements The Talent Acquisition Specialist will possess the knowledge, skill, and/or ability in the following areas essential to perform the functions of the position.
