Job Description Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. This position involves working with a manageable caseload of 12 students in grades K-5, providing focused instruction and personalized support tailored to individual needs. The role is based in Waukegan, IL, and runs through May 29, 2026.Key Responsibilities:Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) aligned with students' needsProvide specialized instruction and support within a self-contained classroom environmentCollaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families to promote student successMonitor student progress and adjust teaching strategies accordinglyMaintain accurate records and comply with all applicable educational regulationsQualifications and Experience:Valid Professional Educator License (PEL) with LBS1 endorsement for Special EducationExperience working with K-5 students in a special education settingStrong understanding of individualized instruction and behavior management techniquesExcellent communication and collaboration skillsCommitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environmentLocation and Schedule:Position located in Waukegan, IllinoisContract duration through May 29, 2026Work hours from 7:50 AM to 3:25 PMThis contract role provides the chance to make a meaningful impact on students educational journeys in a supportive school environment.
