Forward Deployed Engineer // $160K–$275K + EquityI’m recruiting for a company building the backbone of high-scale AI applications. They're powering production inference for some of the most innovative teams in the space. They’ve just closed a major funding round and are expanding their Forward Deployed Engineering group.This is a hands-on engineering role with a ton of variety and ownership. You’ll work directly with cutting-edge AI teams, helping them take advanced models from early exploration all the way through to reliable, observable, production-grade systems.If you enjoy working across software engineering, product thinking, performance tuning, and customer-facing problem-solving, this is for you. What you’ll doBuild and maintain production-level services and features (Python is strongly preferred).Work side-by-side with customers to architect, implement, and deploy high-scale AI systems.Turn ambiguous goals into clear specs, PoCs, and shipped solutions.Drive end-to-end delivery: problem framing → evaluation → deployment → monitoring.Optimise and enhance AI/ML pipelines, improving reliability, latency, and cost.Act as an engineer, product partner, and technical guide to customers adopting frontier AI.What they’re looking forDegree in CS/Engineering/Maths or related field.2 + years in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.Strong software engineering skills (Python preferred).Familiarity with ML pipelines or model deployment environments.Ability to communicate complex technical ideas clearly.Comfort working in ambiguity and taking full ownership of outcomes.Why this role stands outHigh compensation + meaningful equity.100% medical, dental & vision covered for you and dependents.Generous PTO + full company winter break.Parental leave, 401(k), and strong benefits.Front-row exposure to some of the most advanced AI applications being built today.A role that blends engineering, product, and real-world impact.
