This organization supports primarily private-sector development projects across the Twin Cities, working closely with developers and builders to move projects from survey through permitting and final design.This is a design-first, production-focused role ideal for someone who enjoys getting into the technical details of grading, drainage, and site layout-not managing projects or sitting in meetings all day.Senior Civil Design Engineer ResponsibilitiesDevelop detailed civil site designs using AutoCAD Civil 3DCreate grading, drainage, and utility layout plans for commercial and residential developmentsPerform stormwater modeling using HydroCADPrepare stormwater management reports and drainage calculationsDesign storm sewer systems, ponds, and related infrastructureProduce complete, permit-ready construction plan setsCollaborate with survey teams to integrate field data into final designsRespond to municipal comments and revise plans as neededSenior Civil Design Engineer Qualifications8+ years of civil site design or land development experienceStrong proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3DExperience with HydroCAD stormwater modelingAbility to independently complete grading and drainage designsProven experience producing full plan sets for municipal permittingStrong understanding of site grading, utilities, and stormwater systemsPreferred ExperienceProfessional Engineer (PE) license (not required)Familiarity with Minnesota municipal review processesExperience working on small-to-mid-size commercial and residential developmentsAdditional Role DetailsDesign-focused role with minimal project management responsibilitiesTypical projects include commercial sites, retail developments, and residential communities (2-5 acre range, with some larger developments)Highly collaborative but lean team environment (~10-12 employees)Opportunity to take ownership of projects and work directly with leadershipIdeal for someone who prefers hands-on design work over client-facing coordinationCompensation & BenefitsBase salary: $80,000-$110,000 (depending on experience)Competitive benefits package (details provided during interview process)Long-term growth opportunity within a growing, privately held firmStable pipeline of repeat client workBe the first to learn about future positions by joining our Newsletter and following us on LinkedIn!Konik is an equal opportunity employer.
