With strong leadership and opportunities for professional growth, this firm fosters a tight-knit culture and values collaboration and development.Key ResponsibilitiesFinancial Oversight & Reporting: Manage all aspects of financial accounting, including preparation and presentation of financial statements, general ledger entries, and account reconciliationsBudgeting & Forecasting: Collaborate with project managers and leadership to prepare detailed budget forecasts, cash flow projections, and variance analysis to ensure financial performance aligns with project goals and company objectivesCost Control & Analysis: Oversee the tracking of job costs, ensuring accurate allocation of resources and expenses, and implement strategies to optimize financial performancePayroll & Benefits Administration: Supervise payroll functions, ensuring accurate and timely processing, as well as managing employee benefits and complianceInternal Controls & Compliance: Establish and enforce internal controls to ensure financial accuracy, integrity, and compliance with industry regulations and company policiesTeam Leadership & Development: Lead, mentor, and manage the accounting team, fostering professional growth and maintaining high team moraleCollaboration: Work closely with project managers, senior leadership, and external auditors to ensure financial accuracy and support decision-making processesDesired QualificationsBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA a plus, but is not required)At least 5 years of experience in accounting, financial management, or controller roles, with a preference for construction industry experienceStrong knowledge of construction accounting principles, including job costing, work in progress (WIP), contract billings, and change ordersFamiliarity with union contractor accounting practices is a plusProficiency in financial and ERP software such as ViewPoint Vista and SpectrumExperience with payroll processing, tax filings, and compliance in a construction settingSolid understanding of GAAP and accounting regulations applicable to the construction industryStrong leadership and communication skills to collaborate effectively across teams and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environmentCompensation & BenefitsBase Salary + Bonus: $120,000 - $140,000 + performance-based bonusBenefits: Health, dental, vision, life insurance, long-term disabilityRetirement: 401(k) with company matchProfit Sharing: Eligible for company profit-sharing incentivesCompany Culture: A tight-knit team with opportunities for growth and advancement within the companyWhy This Company?This organization offers excellent leadership and a collaborative work environment with ample opportunities for growth.
