We replace rigid, analog energy hardware with intelligent, software-defined power electronics that adapt to the grid in real-time.Role DescriptionThe firmware developer will contribute to the development of Lyra’s Power Synthesizer technology, with focus in the development and testing of code for microcontrollers, DSPs, and FPGAs. This role reports to the CTO.Key ResponsibilitiesMaintain the firmware development and test infrastructure, including CI, repository structure management, and version control.Implement control, data acquisition and communications algorithmsImplement communication, remote update, and advanced security featuresDesign the embedded software architecture for Lyra’s main product with focus on scalability.Required QualificationsFirst-hand experience programming DSPs, microcontrollers, and FPGAsProficiency in the Simulink / TI code generation and deployment environmentUniversity degree in electrical engineering, computer science, or related fieldExcellent domain of signal processing mathematics, and efficient implementation techniques for constrained processors2 years of experience in an environment with mature firmware development processes, under the supervision of senior FW developersPreferred QualificationsMSc in embedded controlsFluent in Typhoon RTDSHas participated in the developed commercial-grade high-frequency drivesAdvanced AC power controls (PLL, virtual synchronous machine, droop control)Pay Range:$58-$76 per hour depending on experience, with the possibility to transition to a full time role at $120-$160k per yearAt Lyra Power Technologies, we are proud to be an equal opportunity employer because we recognize that a diverse organization begins with a diverse candidate pool.
