Senior Project Controls ManagerThe Senior Project Controls Manager is responsible for leading and managing all aspects of project controls for the QGS contract at the Savannah River Site (SRS) in Aiken, SC. This senior leadership position oversees cost management, schedule development and maintenance, earned value management (EVM), risk analysis, and performance reporting in compliance with DOE contract requirements and QGS program management standards. The ideal candidate brings 10+ years of project controls experience on large-scale DOE, nuclear, or federal government construction and operations contracts.What You'll DoLead the project controls function, overseeing the development, maintenance, and analysis of integrated project schedules, cost baselines, work breakdown structures (WBS), and earned value management systems (EVMS) in compliance with DOE and contractual requirements.Manage a team of project controls specialists, schedulers, and cost engineers; provide direction, mentoring, performance management, and professional development.Develop and present project performance reports including cost performance indices (CPI), schedule performance indices (SPI), variance analyses, and forecast-at-completion (FAC) to project leadership and the DOE client.Establish and maintain the project control baseline (PMB), monitor scope changes, and process contract modifications and baseline change requests (BCRs) in accordance with DOE EVMS guidelines.Oversee resource loading, schedule risk analysis (Monte Carlo simulations), and critical path analysis using Primavera P6 or equivalent tools; provide actionable recovery recommendations to project management.Interface directly with DOE client project controls and contracting personnel; support EVMS reviews, Integrated Baseline Reviews (IBRs), and surveillance activities.Develop and enforce project controls procedures, standards, and data quality requirements; implement continuous improvement initiatives across the project controls organization.Perform other duties as assigned in support of QGS project and program management objectives.What You'll Bring Required Education and Experience Bachelor degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business Administration, or a related field; equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.Minimum of 10 years of project controls experience on large-scale DOE, federal government, nuclear, or heavy industrial contracts, with at least 4 years in a management or leadership role.Demonstrated expertise in Earned Value Management Systems (EVMS) compliant with ANSI/EIA-748 guidelines.Advanced proficiency in Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project for integrated schedule development, resource loading, and critical path analysis.Strong knowledge of DOE contract requirements, Work Breakdown Structures (WBS), Cost Account Plans (CAPs), and Integrated Master Schedules (IMS).11 Years Preferred Education and Experience Master degree in Engineering, Project Management, Business Administration, or related field.Direct Savannah River Site or DOE major facility project controls experience.Project Management Professional (PMP) certification through PMI. LICENSES / CERTIFICATIONS: Required Licenses/Certifications Must be able to obtain and maintain a valid Savannah River Site access badge and pass all required DOE background checks and personnel security requirements.Valid U.S. driver license. Preferred Licenses/Certifications DOE Q or L Security Clearance.Project Management Professional (PMP) through PMI.Planning and Scheduling Professional (PSP) through AACE International.
