Human Resources Specialist (Cincinnati)

POSITION OBJECTIVEHuman Resources Specialist provides administrative support to the human resource function, including record-keeping, file maintenance and HRIS entry. May also provide administrative support to the office.Salary Range: $45,0000-$65,000KEY RESPONSIBILITIESHuman Resources Support:Performs customer service functions by answering employee requests and questions accurately and in a timely mannerProcesses required documents through HRISCompletes Forms I-9, verifies I-9 documentation and maintains I-9 filesSubmits online investigation requests and assists with new employee background checksAssists with the preparation of the performance review processAssists with recruitment processes, such as scheduling phone interviews or sending follow-up applicant correspondenceAssists with the processing of terminations, unemployment claims, and employment verificationsSchedules meetings as requested by the Human Resources teamMaintains employee filesAssists or prepares HR related correspondence as requestedPrepares new employee files and maintains accurate employee files related to personal and work status affairsConducts audits and generates reports in the HRIS systemPerforms other related duties as assignedRequired Skills/AbilitiesExcellent verbal and written communication skillsExcellent interpersonal and customer service skillsExcellent organizational skills and attention to detailWorking knowledge of human resource principles, practices, and proceduresExcellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlinesAbility to function well in a high-paced environmentProficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related softwareAbility to collaborate and work effectively in a team environmentQUALIFICATIONSBachelor's degree in human resources or a related field and/or equivalent experience. Experience may substitute for Bachelor's degree.Minimum of two years of related experienceAdditional InformationThis position will work directly in the field of Human Resources and will be supervised by a department leaderExperience or the willingness to learn HR, Recruiting and Employee Administration and CoordinationFamiliarity with recruiting system software products use and administration (i.e. LinkedIn)Familiarity with HR recruiting laws, rules and regulationsExcellent organizing, planning, and time-management skillsExcellent MS-Office tools skills (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)High level of interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential situations and documentation.
