We are confident you will find our Company a dynamic and rewarding place in which to work because here at Sunland Asphalt our vision is: 'To be the best place in the world to work.'Voted as one of Phoenix Business Journal's 'Best Places to Work,' Sunland offers employees:Competitive Weekly Pay and Paid Time Off401(K)Work/Life Balance and Community InvolvementComprehensive Health Benefits including; Health, Dental, VisionAward Winning Peers & ProjectsAnd A Foundation Built on SafetyPOSITION PURPOSEThe Fuel and Lube Truck Driver - Oiler - CDL performs skilled tasks in the preventative maintenance of all fleet vehicles and heavy machinery used by the company.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESEmployee shall perform all duties and responsibilities with Sunland's Core Values at the forefront.Perform daily fuel and lube on heavy machinery and vehicles in the field from a Service Lube truck.Must be an advocate of safety and follow safety policies and procedures.Perform vehicle inspections, basic maintenance and minor repairs; document all work and repairs through weekly electronic inspection forms.Perform preventative maintenance regarding lubrication services.Communicate with management when additional repairs are needed or when repairs cannot be completed in the scheduled time period.Maintain a clean job site; pick up all tools and equipment and secure job site each day.Understand material handling and storage in compliance with SDS sheets.Work alongside skilled technicians to learn how to perform quality vehicle service maintenance and repairs.Document daily work and routines in software tracking system.Use equipment and/or an assortment of hand tools.Perform all other general laborer work as needed.Any and all other duties assigned. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.TRAVELMust be willing to travel to any and all jobsites without exception (including staying away from home if necessary.)MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONSEducation and Work ExperienceA high school diploma or GED is preferred.Must have at least 5 years' experience with heavy machinery maintenance and a minimum of one (1) year of experience as a heavy equipment lube technician.Must have a working knowledge of heavy construction equipment such as paving equipment and heavy civil paving maintenance equipment.Must meet FMCSA English proficiency requirements under 49 CFR §391.11(b)(2), including the ability to read and speak English, understand highway signs, respond to official inquiries, and make required entries on reports and records.
