Job Title: Lead Python Automation DeveloperLocation: San Antonio, TXExperience: 12–15 YearsRole OverviewWe are seeking an experienced Lead Python Automation Developer to design, develop, and maintain scalable automation frameworks, scripts, and tools. This role focuses on driving automation initiatives, optimizing processes, and enhancing operational efficiency across the organization. The ideal candidate will combine strong technical expertise in Python with leadership capabilities to mentor teams and guide automation strategy.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop, and maintain robust automation frameworks and scripts using Python.Automate manual processes across operations, testing, deployment, reporting, and monitoring.Identify automation opportunities and lead initiatives to improve efficiency and reduce manual effort.Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Development, QA, DevOps, Infrastructure, and Business stakeholders.Build reusable Python modules, utilities, APIs, and libraries.Integrate automation solutions with tools such as Jenkins, Git, Docker, Kubernetes, Ansible, and cloud platforms.Conduct code reviews and enforce coding standards, best practices, and quality benchmarks.Troubleshoot automation issues and ensure timely resolution.Create and maintain technical documentation, design specifications, and user guides.Mentor junior developers and provide technical leadership.Support CI/CD pipeline development, automation, and deployment processes.Ensure automation solutions are scalable, secure, and maintainable.Required QualificationsStrong hands-on experience in Python development.Proficiency with Python libraries such as requests, pandas, pytest, selenium, paramiko, boto3, or similar.Experience designing and implementing automation frameworks.Expertise in REST API automation and integrations.Solid understanding of Git, version control, and branching strategies.Strong knowledge of Linux/Unix environments and shell scripting.Experience with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or Azure DevOps.Proficient in debugging, logging, exception handling, and performance optimization.Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.Preferred QualificationsExperience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.Knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, or Ansible.Experience in test automation using Selenium, PyTest, Robot Framework, or similar tools.Familiarity with database automation (SQL, Oracle, PostgreSQL, MySQL).Exposure to monitoring tools such as Splunk, Grafana, Prometheus, or ELK stack.Prior experience leading teams and managing technical delivery.Understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
