Technical Solution Architect Cognos
Job Summary: The Expert Technical Solution Architect Cognos in Raleigh, NC, is responsible for delivering strategic insights through advanced predictive data analysis and technology tools. This role involves leading the design and deployment of Cognos reporting solutions, providing consultative leadership to business intelligence teams, and enhancing analytical capabilities to support informed decision-making within a healthcare data management context. Responsibilities:Develop and model Cognos metadata using data modules and Framework Manager.Lead full development lifecycle of Cognos reporting solution deployments.Design and develop efficient, sustainable Cognos Framework Manager packages and data modules following best practices.Architect healthcare data management solutions to improve executive dashboards and operational reporting.Develop and maintain formal strategies, technical standards, blueprints, and architecture patterns.Analyze feasibility and compatibility of Cognos solutions with various Data Warehouse architectures.Develop data workflows, processes, and standard operating procedures aligned with analytics delivery.Enhance reporting efficiency and accuracy through quantitative and qualitative analytical techniques.Prepare and present analytical initiatives and results to executive management and other stakeholders.Collaborate with subject matter experts, business liaisons, and vendors to ensure alignment between business needs and IT solutions. Required Skills & Certifications:Expertise in Cognos metadata modeling, including data modules and Framework Manager.Strong knowledge of fact and dimensional modeling, data mining, SAS, and SQL.Experience in solution architecture, particularly in healthcare data management.Proven ability to lead complex development lifecycles and deliver high-quality Cognos reporting solutions.Advanced analytical and quantitative skills for improving reporting accuracy and efficiency.Excellent communication skills for presenting technical information to diverse audiences. Preferred Skills & Certifications:Advanced education related to data analytics, business intelligence, or solution architecture.Experience coaching and leading business intelligence staff.Familiarity with normalized and denormalized Data Warehouse environments.Knowledge of technical standards, architecture patterns, and technology roadmaps. Special Considerations:Must be able to work independently and provide consultative leadership.Experience working within healthcare industry data environments is preferred. Scheduling:Regular shift from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM EST.Position duration is 7+ months with possibility of extension.
