Marine Travel Lift Operator
Job Title: Marine Travel Lift OperatorJob DescriptionAs a Lift Operator, you will be responsible for safely operating boat lifts and other heavy equipment to launch, retrieve, and transport boats. Your role will contribute to the smooth operation of marina activities and ensure excellent service for our members. Operate boat lifts, cranes, and related equipment safelyand efficiently. Handle the launching, retrieval, and transportation of boats to and from the water and storage areas. Perform routine maintenance checks on lifting equipment to ensure functionality and safety. Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe environment. Conduct thorough pre- and post-lift inspections of boats, reporting any damage or maintenance needs. Provide professional and courteous customer service to marina members, offering assistance and information as needed. Maintain accurate records of all boat movements and lift operations. Collaborate closely with other marina staff to coordinate boat handling activities and ensure efficient operations.Hard SkillsPrevious experience operating heavy equipment, preferably boat liftsBasic understanding of boat mechanics and maintenancePhysical ability to perform demanding tasks and work in various weather conditionsSoft SkillsStrong verbal communication skills for effective interaction with customers and team membersAttention to detail to ensure safe handling of boats and equipmentProblem-solving skills to address issues during lift operationsCapability of working in a physically demanding environmentJob TypeThis is a Contract-to-Hire position with a duration of 6 Month(s).Work SiteThis is a fully on-site position in Portland, Maine.Work EnvironmentThis position requires availability to work normal work hours Mon-Fri.
