Senior Accounting Associate

Seeking an experienced Accounting Manager / Senior Accountant to support a large-scale financial systems integration initiative. This role will play a critical part in a strategic initiative focused on integrating an accounting infrastructure into an existing accounting ecosystem.The ideal candidate will have a strong accounting foundation combined with hands-on experience supporting accounting system implementations, mergers/acquisitions integrations, or new financial product implementations. This is a highly collaborative Agile environment requiring strong communication, analytical thinking, and the ability to quickly understand complex transaction flows across multiple accounting systems.Key ResponsibilitiesSupport the integration of financial and accounting systems into an existing accounting ecosystemAnalyze and understand end-to-end transaction flows, including debits, credits, journal entries, reconciliations, and accounting automation opportunitiesAssist in automating journal entries and streamlining accounting processesCollaborate closely with Accounting, Technology, Product, and Project Management teams in an Agile environmentParticipate in Agile ceremonies: Report findings, updates, risks, and deliverables to leadership and project managers during Agile ceremoniesSupport accounting systems integration efforts involving NetSuite, Workday, and related reconciliation platformsEvaluate current-state accounting workflows and help design future-state automated transaction processesPerform individual contributor work involving accounting analysis, systems mapping, and process improvementQuickly ramp up on existing integration processes and proactively ask questions to understand business requirements and dependenciesRequired Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree required (Accounting, Finance, Economics preferred) 6–10+ years of accounting experienceStrong understanding of accounting fundamentals including: Debits and credits, Journal entries, Transaction flows, Financial systems processesExperience supporting Accounting systems implementations, New accounting or financial product launches, or systems integrationsExperience working within Agile project environments and participating in Agile ceremoniesAbility to understand current-state accounting processes and translate them into scalable future-state automated workflowsExperience working with enterprise accounting systems and reconciliation toolsStrong communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work cross-functionally across Accounting, Technology, and Product teamsAbility to quickly learn complex systems and integration processes in a fast-paced environmentPreferred Qualifications:Public accounting experience, particularly from a Big 4 firmExperience in banking, financial services, credit card, or travel industry environmentsHands-on experience with NetSuite, Workday, BlackLine, and/or Recon PlusSimilar enterprise accounting and reconciliation platformsExperience with automated reconciliations and accounting process automationCPA certification preferred but not requiredDexian is an Equal Opportunity Employer that recruits and hires qualified candidates without regard to race, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, age, national origin, ancestry, citizenship, disability, or veteran status.
