RV Orientation Specialist (New Owner Delivery / Walkthrough)
We’re hiring an RV Orientation Specialist to deliver an outstanding new-owner experience. In this role, you’ll guide customers through a final tour of their RV, demonstrate how systems and components operate, review delivery/inspection documentation, and help ensure every customer leaves confident and excited for their first trip.
This position is ideal for someone with excellent customer service, strong communication, and mechanical aptitude. If you know how to operate an RV—or love learning how RV systems work—this is for you.
Responsibilities:
Lead customers on a final tour of their RV, demonstrating the use of equipment, features, and components.
Review the pre-delivery inspection (PDI) checklist with customers and confirm readiness for delivery.
Ensure all required documentation is complete, accurate, and compliant with regulations/standards.
Recommend accessories that enhance the customer’s RVing experience.
Recommend additional needed and value-added services based on customer needs.
Confirm all correct parts and services are charged, and re-priced when necessary.
Stay up to date on factory recalls, announcements, and product updates.
Maintain service records and client documentation as required by the warrantor/manufacturer.
Monitor progress of RV pre-delivery inspections throughout the day and promptly update customers if delivery readiness changes.
Follow and enforce all safety policies and procedures.
Attend required staff meetings, trainings, and continuing education classes.
Set personal goals aligned with dealership productivity standards and execute a plan to meet them.
Maintain an excellent CSI (Customer Satisfaction Index) — this is a must.
Requirements
Outstanding customer service and a friendly, professional presence.
Strong communication skills—able to explain systems clearly to first-time RV owners.
Mechanical aptitude (basic troubleshooting mindset and comfort learning RV systems).
Comfortable presenting and demonstrating features to individuals and families.
Organized and detail-oriented (checklists, paperwork, compliance).
Team-oriented and dependable.
Bonus points if you have:
Prior RV operation/ownership experience.
Experience in a dealership, service department, marine/powersports, automotive, or technical customer-facing role.
Familiarity with PDI processes, recalls, or warranty documentation.
Schedule & Work Environment:
Full-time (typical dealership hours; will include some weekends)
Active role—standing/walking, climbing steps, working around RVs and service areas.
