Area Director
About the RoleAs an Area Sales Director, you will lead the overall performance, strategy, and operations of multiple branches within your region. This is a high-impact leadership role where you will drive revenue growth, strengthen customer and supplier relationships, and elevate team performance.You will play a key role in aligning regional execution with North America’s strategic objectives while positioning Future Electronics as a trusted partner to customers and suppliers alike.What You’ll DoDefine and execute sales and engineering strategies aligned with North America’s overall objectivesDeliver on all budgeted metrics, including sales performance and engineering targetsLead and mentor a high-performing team, including GSMs, Strategic Account Managers, Advanced Engineers, and Account ExecutivesConduct quarterly account reviews to drive growth, customer penetration, and brand positioningOversee supplier relationships through regular reviews and manage monthly opportunity pipelinesLead performance management processes, including evaluations, compensation planning, and talent developmentRecruit, hire, and retain top sales talent to strengthen regional capabilitiesAct as a senior ambassador for Future Electronics, promoting our value proposition to customers, suppliers, and manufacturer representativesPresent value-added solutions (supply chain programs, demand creation, programming, etc.) to executive-level stakeholdersOwn full P&L responsibility, ensuring strong financial performance and profitability across branchesCoordinate and lead corporate customer visitsDefine and drive strategy across key industries such as Robotics, AI, Medical, Industrial, and Mil/AeroPartner with Advanced Engineering and sales leadership to identify and prioritize high-value focus accountsEnsure focus accounts receive appropriate engagement, including consistent interaction with customer engineering teamsTravel: Domestic and international travel required (approximately 10–50%)What You Bring10+ years of experience in the electronics distribution industryStrong business acumen with experience managing P&L and driving profitable growthProven leadership experience (5+ years preferred) with the ability to inspire and develop high-performing teamsExperience engaging with C-suite stakeholders and leading strategic customer conversationsDemonstrated track record of success and career stabilityStrong technical aptitude (engineering background is a plus)Proficiency with Microsoft Teams, CRM systems, and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)Based in or willing to reside in the Bay AreaAbility to lead multi-site teams (East Coast branches) and scale responsibilities over timeWhy Join UsAt Future Electronics, we believe in supporting our employees holistically—professionally and personally.
